We have received confirmation from the Middlesex-London Public Health Unit that Maple Grove is in a Rhinovirus (“the common cold”) outbreak.

General visitors are asked to postpone all non-essential visits to residents of Maple Grove, and all residents are to remain in their home area for the duration of the outbreak except for medical, palliative or compassionate care reasons. Essential caregivers can continue to visit Maple Grove, but are to only visit with one resident at a time. N95 masks and goggles are to be worn.

Symptomatic visitors will not be permitted entry into the home. Visitors who become symptomatic while at the home should leave immediately. In addition, we have enhanced our cleaning and disinfecting practices.

Please do your utmost to follow all infection prevention and control practices, including hand hygiene, to prevent the further spread of infection.
