Chris Plested, the Home’s Manager of Environmental Services, assembles new flower beds as part of our east garden renovation.
In the spring, significant renovations took place at McCormick Home’s east garden. Thanks to the generous support of the Westminster College Foundation and the McCormick Care Foundation, our outdoor area now includes glider benches, extra-large houses for birds and butterflies, raised garden beds and a white picket fence to display bird houses painted by our residents.
“The garden upgrades provide a warm and welcoming space where residents and families can enjoy the beauty of the outdoors and connect with nature more closely,” says Sue Cason, Manager of Life Enrichment and Volunteers. “We are grateful for such a generous gift to our Home community.”
