Dementia Services Support/Zoom Groups

Our early stage dementia support group has returned—now with a new name: Journeying Together. Led by a social worker, this group offers a supportive space for people in the early stages of dementia who are aware of their diagnosis and open to learning and talking about it with others on a similar path. The purpose of the Journeying Together Support Group is to provide an open forum to discuss participants’ feelings, emotions, and challenges around coping with the diagnosis. Education is provided to help individuals better understand the brain and changes associated with the dementia. This forum provides an opportunity for participants to develop friendships and a sense of belonging within the support group and to help reduce feelings of isolation.

Who can join?

• Individuals who have a diagnosis of dementia and are in the early stage of their disease progression

• Who are open to sharing and learning

• And are able to attend in person (transportation not provided)

If you feel this group could be helpful for you, we encourage you to reach out to Nancy O’Regan. We will be happy to provide more information and let you know when the next group will be starting.
